Board of Councilors

In terms of provision of section 13 and section 14 of the West Bengal Municipal Act 1993 , the municipality established for a town shall mean the Board of Councillors charged with authority of municipality Government of the town. The Councillors elected in general election or a by election of a municipality each wards within the municipal area shall constitute the Board of Counicllors. In Board of Councillors of Ranagaht Municipality constitute with 20 nos. wards at present.
