Organization Structure

Municipal Authority:

In terms of provision of section 12 of the West Bengal Municipal Act 1993 , the municipal authorities charges with the responsibility of carrying out the provisions of the Act for each municipal area, shall be as follows:

• The Municipality ,
• The Chairman , and
• The Chairman –in- Council.

The Chairman-in-Counicil:

In terms of provisions of section 15 of the WBM Act 1993 it is formed. Chairman-in-Council consisting of the chairman, vice chairman and other members in case of this municipality has no Chairman-in-Council as this municipality in Group D category and according to the WBM Act no chairman-in-Council have its existence in Group D and E Category. All the power of Chairman-in-council is vested on the Chairman in this two category.
